Uploading lists to Inkit are easy.

Your CSV file needs to be formatted correctly. All this really means is that your CSV columns need to be named correctly. Specifically, column names must be exactly as follows:

"FirstName", "LastName", "Address 1", "Address 2", "City", "State", "Postal", "Country", “Co”.

Set the "Country" value to "US". We do not accept America, USA, U.S., or any other values. This should be the default value unless your mail is being sent to another country. In which case, please message us.

For Excel Users:

There's a known encoding issue with Excel. We're working on a permanent solution, but in the meantime, there's a workaround:

  • Use File > Save as... to export the CSV from Excel
  • Select 'Web Options' in the 'Tools...' dropdown at the bottom of the dialog box
  • Select the 'Encoding' tab
  • In the 'Save this document as:' dropdown, select 'Unicode (UTF-8)'

Problems uploading a CSV?

CSVs are prone to text encoding problems due to the variety of data sources that generate them. Google Sheets is a free spreadsheet tool that is very good at fixing these encoding problems. If you’re having trouble uploading a list, try re-exporting the CSV from Google Sheets and uploading it again. 


  1. Open Google Sheets (https://sheets.google.com)
  2. Create a new sheet
  3. Import your CSV file by selecting File > Import and uploading your CSV
  4. Click “OK” or “Confirm” in the import settings (you don’t need to change anything)
  5. Export the fixed CSV from Google Sheets by selecting File > Download as... > Comma-separated values
  6. Upload the fixed CSV to Inkit
